Summary
The word “isolated” found in the title refers essentially to thermal isolation. Nevertheless, the idea of “isolation” slides in, meaning “being far”. As a matter of fact, technical advances in construction have led to the production of highly efficient building materials, maybe excessively so. This reminds me that the word “solitude” is often mentioned nowadays, even in spite of all the technological progress in the field of communication.
