Summary
We Want Something From You is a practical experiment and group exhibition organized by Richard Ibghy and Marilou Lemmens in collaboration with five Canadian and international artists. Taking the enactment of equality as a point of departure, the nvitedartists werecalled upon to participate at every level of the program’s conceptualization, organization, and production. Over the course of the experiment, the social, technological, geographical, andsymbolic specificities of the collaborative process became central to theartists’ concerns. The resulting contributions comprise audio and videopieces as well asartistic interventions in Aberdeen Cultural Center’s foyerand on the program’s secondary materials.
